Not the English pop singer/songwriter.
My name is Ed Sheehan (not Ed Sheeran). I am an art director currently living in Wildwood, MO. I have more than twenty years of professional experience, with clients ranging from global corporations to local non-profits. No job is too big or too small.
Anyway, if you're looking to kill a few minutes or pretend you're being productive, below are some little tidbits about me.
Favorite way to drink coffee?
Cold brewed, black. It’s especially good in the summertime when it’s a thousand degrees and muggy by 8:00am. Plus, I can make it overnight so it’s ready to drink first thing in the morning.
Favorite book?
The Boys’ War. It’s about the experiences of Civil War soldiers based on firsthand accounts. I got it in middle school, which was when I started getting interested in Civil War history. My homeroom teacher saw me reading it and told me I could keep it. That was one of those small gestures that stay with you.
Favorite television show?
I don’t really watch a lot of television, but PBS is on heavy rotation on our household. I love the documentaries, especially anything by Ken Burns. The other night I caught one in passing about the suffrage movement. I watched almost the whole thing. Plus, our kids love a lot of the shows and they actually learn something. Every once in a while they’ll just rattle off some crazy fact about tree frogs or something, and I know I’m not the one teaching them about it.
Favorite band?
Currently the Black Lips, since it was last band that I saw live. It was a weird scene, but it was one of the most fun shows I’ve been to. It was just a few days before the coronavirus stuff really escalated – by the next week, we were in quarantine. That makes the show even more special – I don’t think concerts will be the same from now on, at least not for a while.

Favorite candy?
Reese’s cups. Not the miniatures though because they’re too tedious to unwrap.
Favorite hobby?
I have four kids, so I don't have time for hobbies. Whenever I do get the opportunity, I like to go hiking or camping. I think it’s important to get in touch with nature as often as possible, just to step back and reset. On the other end, I also like to squeeze in a few death matches in CoD whenever I get a chance.
Favorite design program?
I don’t know if it’s really a design program, but I’ve been getting more and more into 3D modeling/rendering software like Cinema 4D. It can get pretty tedious, but I’ve always thought it was really fun to create realistic objects or scenes out of nothing.
Favorite piece of art?
The Yellow House by Vincent van Gogh. Perhaps it's the vibrancy, but I’ve always been drawn to it. To me it represents how hopeful he was at that time. Obviously, it didn't end well.
